today has been a really boring day ): so much for a start of the day. But something kinda made me interested! I came across this.



Some avant-garde styled music, by zhongruan and string trio! O: it sounds very harsh, to depict daggers and poetry O.O idk, but I think it's really something new. do listen when you guys are free ;D

HELLO people! :D today is a boring day! D: I got a faci, oh wait...i got a flower vase in my class, who sits there and not do anything. She flashes the problem statement, then keeps mute the whole first meeting! D:

It's not helping at all can! :/ Apparently barely anyone is doing work, or is serious about work. Alot of us are lost, unaware of what are the real deliverables for the day. rawrrrr ): and alot of us are wiped out from PD. So am I. ):

I hope everything will go fine for this week. Today is totally not a good day to start the week. Even Jean is wearing blue today :P April missed class. and the class only have 4 teams instead of the full 5, on the 2nd week of school O:

Its not the module, is the faci. :X but oh well, there's nothing I can do.
Anyway I'll be going off now. I can't do any work cause my ProTools is not up to date yet, thanks to the 'HELPFUL' IT helpdesk who just don't wanna serve me cause it's alway full! D: grah.

Hello all (: today hasn't been a very nice day for me, feeling all moody O: idk why, as though I'm suffering from some "PMS". Nonetheless, the day's almost over. Hope I wake up with a better mood tomorrow hopefully. O:

Was out for a while with family at NorthPoint O: not very enriching and fruitful outing, but still had some fun. Great food as usual, and bought some stuffs which I need for daily usage. :D

Have been rushing scores today too. O: feng shou zhi ge, tan bo yue he zou. hopefully things will go fine tomorrow. (:

Yeah, not really in the mood to blog much. Shall end here for today. And I really can't believe, I'm thinking of you again even after so many months of our breakup. Go away, these unholy thoughts. O:

Today is another Wednesday, technically there is FYP today, but sadly cancelled. Oh well O: Nonetheless, I have an important rehearsal/preview to attend today. RPCO's performance date is nearing, which is 18th november. Hopefully things will go fine and smoothly on the day itself, and that no one will cause any unnecessary trouble.

And yes, I have no class today. Envious? Actually you shouldn't be, because I have so much of work to 'catch up'. Despite writing so many arrangements, I'm still craving for more. I am really quite weird O: to treat arranging pieces as a form of entertainment. Yet, I'm enjoying it. That's all that matters. (:

Ohoh! In addition to all these, I'm actually quite fascinated by the "How to Stress-Proof Your Life" book. O: Learnt alot from the book, and I'm happy to have read it. Now I'm a much cool-headed person, and think on the bright side more often. Along with having a healthier diet, a more organised and productive life. I'm glad. (:

Hey people, it has been a long day today, but it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. Had an interesting lesson today on synthesizers. Got a cute facilitator who speaks in a uber chill-out way. :X even though he got one hell-of-a-monotonous voice, but the content he brings across is really enriching and enlightening! :D plus he makes every student comfortable in his class through encouragement.

Had CO practice as usual. Was quite fun today, as usual Ainsley came, always enjoying the music his cello produces. O: the tonal quality of his cello is really good, and he's really humble for his standard. Indeed a duplicate of YingYing. :D heee. Of course, yes others came too! Elston and WenShan came! :D had fun definitely with them around. Elston always teases me D: and WenShan is my tanboyue buddy as usual! HAHA.
Oh I'm happy that I get to sit beside ShuZhen for the performance. Yes, its totally weird to actually find a DaRuan player sit beside a ZhongHu player, in the middle of the stage O: but oh well, it doesn't matter. The music and balance is what matters most!

Yesyes, one more thing! On the way to school today, I was reading this book on 'How To Stress-Proof Your Life' in the bus. There was this random chinese guy, dressed uber formally, approximately in his 40s, sitting beside me. He was peeking at my book, and suddenly he spoke to me. He went 'Oh young man. Having a stressful life in school?'. I replied 'Not really, I'm just reading so that I'll be prepared!'.
He then added on 'Here's my name card. I'm a psychologist and counsellor. Feel free to contact me for any enquiries regarding this. I'm more than happy to help out anyone in need.' *smiles*.
For a moment, I paused in shock. Then replied 'okayokay, thanks!' and then he went off.

It was indeed an awkward situation, and for a minute, I asked myself 'Do I look like I have pressurizing stress and stuffs?'. Haiya, nonetheless its over. I don't intend to call him, duh. :X Shall just leave his namecard in my wallet till I change my wallet, which is when I'll trash all unwanted namecards in my wallet!

Yes, that'll be all for now! :D It's time for me to sleep already. I really have to get more sleep, or my productivity will drop! .___. hais.

YES, today is sonic art making, and its nonsense. .___. rawrrr. this was what we are supposed to do today. We're given 3bars of some jazz piece, to transform it magically into midi, add a drums sequence, and quantize it to get 90% swing. I was frustrated and could'nt be bothered to put the midi through Pro Tools so I ended up doing it on Sibelius :X LOL!


cool right? LOL! so not cool. damn boring ): rawrrr. I wanna go home and play ruan.

Today, something interesting happened to me on the way to ruanzu. :X Let me recount the story.

Me: *boards bus 39 and sits at front area of the bus*

*bus moves, doors open at next stop*

*a chinese guy (approx 18+) in orange polo, wearing spectacles, considerably skinny and cute, with a solemn, slightly frowning face, boards*

*stands infront of me, and grabs onto handgrips. weird that he's not sitting, considering that there are seats*

*bus jerks, and orange guy stumbles. He steps on me.*

Me: *looks up and stares at him for a moment, without any form of anger or menace*

Boy: *shows hand signal of apology and slightly shuns away from me in fear of stepping on me again*

Me: *Smiles and shows expression of 'never-mind-ness' (I KNOW, there's no such term)

Yes, he's still standing, even though there's an empty seat beside me.

*Bus jerks once again*

Boy: *loses balance and falls*

Me: *attempts to save him using both arms. successfully managed to 'push' him back to balance.

Boy: *gives up standing and sits beside me*

Boy: Hey thanks and sorry about that.

Me: No problem at all! Going to the east too?

Boy: Yeah. I'm glad there's bus 39 to save the day.

Me: Without bus 39, I'd probably faint at the thought of taking the train to the east.

Boy: *giggles and smiles, while looking into my eyes*

Me: *blushes and look away, out to the window*

Boy: What's that instrument you holding?

Me: Oh its a xiaoruan! A chinese orchestral instrument, alot like a guitar.

Boy: Woah, sounds like some cool instrument. Sorry, I'm quite a layman to this kind of chinese instruments.

Me: But I'm glad you asked, cause not many actually bother to find out what instrument it actually is! *giggles*

Boy: *giggles and looks into my eyes again* i think musicians are totally cool people!

Me: *laughs* nahh, not really. musicians are so temperamental, some people find us weird.

Boy: I don't find you weird a single bit. Friends? *stretches hand*

Me: *caught aghast, stares at the stretched hand*

Me: *stretches own hand and shakes* Name's randal.

Boy: Raymond, nice to meet you. Can I have your number? *digs for phone* Its always nice to meet new people. Having another friend beats remaining as a stranger right?

Me: Definitely! *giggles and types own number into boy's phone*

Boy: *smiles* missed called you! Okay okay, its my stop already, gotta go!

Me: *waves* nice meeting you.

Boy: Have fun at your practice. See you!

*Boy walks off and alights bus*

Me: *turns out to window to glance at him*

Boy: *notices me and waves goodbye*

Me: *waves goodbye in response*

*bus moves and leaves busstop*

Hey guys :D back again.

Today is the last day of holidays, and I'm making full use of it! Finished up Concerto for Lute in D maj. (RV 93) already, and will start on the Winter Sonata asap. Hopefully to finish it by today. (: I don't wanna waste time. Not to mention, I have to write out the separate instrument scores .__. oh god! HAHAHA!

Anyway, i'll probably be writing Concerto for Clarinet in A maj, K622 (by Wolfgang A. Mozart) and arranged for Soprano Sheng with Chinese Orchestra (Transp. to C maj). HAHAHA :D reason for key tranposition? There's some notes too low for the sheng :/ saddening.

Recently fell sick again thanks to my unstoppable urge to eat nonsense. Sometimes I should really cut down on eating these nonsense, or I'm just gonna reduce my life-span. ):

Glad to be productive recently, writing several pieces for several places, TGCC, PCO and RPCO, along with some for my own leisure and learning experience. (: Hope to reach 20th orchestral work soon. Now i'm at my 9th work already (Pathetic right? D:). Alot of previously unfinished works that I'll probably just delete and redo :X

I'm proud to name my finished orchestral works, but shall not flaunt. I'm just glad if anyone is willing to play my pieces, much less buying them! According to date of completion:

I'm looking forward to it, although I'm still unaware of what pieces to be played or what instrument I'm to play. :X Probably sight-reading 70% of the pieces more or less. :X After all, there's a short rehearsal for it today after RPCO prac. :D hee!

Anyway, I'm uber craving for Haagen-daz fondue! D: rawrrr.

As the months go by, I start to forget the lost love.
Though I dream of you occasionally in the middle of night.
But then I looked up to the sky above,

It's been ages since I've wrote a rhyme.
Because I've lost happiness for quite some time.
But then I met you, someone who made me smile and think everything's fine.

But nonetheless, I'm just glad to have you in my view.

And here I am, thinking of you as my body on my bed lays.

P.S.: I'm just happy. This is a seedling, as I fall deeper into this. But I'm willing, even if I may end up hurt in future, from possible rejection, from hurt, from discrimination.
I've nothing to fear, my parents are supportive, my friends are too.
Just leave me to be this way, and I'll be happy. I just want to be myself, to look into your eyes, as you smile back to me innocently.

Maybe someday, just some day it may escalate from like to love, and that I can once again use the devotional, untainted phrase...I Love You.

so very sorry for being absent for quite a while. It has been quite a tiring week indeed, and a busy one too. hahaha but as long as its a productive week, the effort's definitely worth it.

Yuheng just mentioned yesterday during ruanzu that the more he plays the gyr, the worse it becomes. It's happening to me too sadly, in my case...my zr. D: Idk why but the frets start getting off pitch all of the sudden D: so gonna let it go through some maintenance soon. hahaha. as long as it makes my ruan back to shape, any price i'd pay. :P

Yeap, anyway has been a tiring week like i mentioned. COs, FYPs and family, juggling around these can be tiring indeed. soon school will be an addition to the concoction of 'time killing activities'. D:

Been practicing hard and preparing for graded exams next year. (: Heard that its a necessity to take grade 9 before dip. So yeap, i'll probably take G9 next year. hahaha, I hope I won't fail. :/ touch-wood!
